Our history
Celtic Craic was started by Tom with a few friends and family in the early 90s in a local church hall in Gravesend, Kent, UK. Having many line ups and playing gigs for over 20 years mainly in Kent but also around the UK, playing for the Irish Embassy in London and the U.S.A the band certainly had a brilliant reputation. Toms nephew Matt joined the band towards the end of the 90s playing the Bodhran and Toms grandson Ash joined the band playing Guitar on a few occasions throughout the mid 2010s. At the start of 2025, after an almost 10 year hiatus Ash and Matt decided to start going to a few open mics and playing a few of the old songs, after receiving a positive reaction from everywhere they played, they decided to bring the band back again using the band name and Tom joining on occasions.
